Today is Tuesday, September 20, 2016. Yesterday in advisory we had a Community Circle with our entire Persian house. In an effort to let all of you know that your voices were heard, I will be setting aside a large chunk of time for you to dig into your grammar practice. Remember we are thinking about Parts of Speech. When we have finished Parts of Speech we will have looked at nouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs, and pronouns. Today, our focus will be on adjectives, adverbs, and pronouns. Let's take a minute to just think about the outstanding work you have been doing with claims and evidence. You have been comparing visual images, making observations, and taking positions based on your observations. You are all observant historians. This has been the first true "group work" you have been asked to do, and for the most part there have been some substantial successes. As we conclude our work in our Gallery Walk, let's remember the words of the the week: cooperation and collaboration. Our emphasis today will be on the last part of CER: the reasoning. Reasoning can be the hardest piece of CER. Do your best and forget the rest. Have fun and enjoy!
