Happy Monday: Centers, Subs, and C's Son...

Good Morning Y'all,

Today is Monday, January 9, 2017.  Picking up where we left off last week will be a piece of cake with the centers that we have started.  On Friday, some of you were reading an article with me on the H1N1 virus.  Some of you were trying out a new website called noredink.com.  Others of you were either learning about organizational structure or writing an awesome RAFTS entry on visiting the moon or Mars.  Our goal on this fine Monday is to finish what we have started.

As a reminder, I will be leaving all of you for an extended time starting this Wednesday.  This Wednesday I will be welcoming my son into the world along with the rest of my family.  If all goes according to plan, I will be back with all of you on the 23rd.  All of this means we have today and tomorrow to get situated for the rest of the week and next week with our substitute teachers.  Whether you like these subs or not, please do me the personal favor of treating them with respect.  They are both going to be asking you to accomplish work and learning, and they are both going to expect behavior fitting a student at Mahone Middle School.  It would be greatly appreciated if you all try to make good choices while I'm away.

The Vsauce this week is a funny one.  Some of the humor in Michael's Vsauce on "bottoms" is a bit edgy so it is my hope that all of you can show a little maturity when watching.  It is meant to be humorous and funny.  Let's not get carried away nor make inappropriate comments of our own.  I always like how Michael Stevens looks at an idea scientifically, socially, historically, and linguistically.

Love, peace, and taco grease,

Mr. C
P.S. Have a sense of maturity please.
