Today is Wednesday, November 10, 2010. Last night for homework we were suppose to think deeper about the way we interact with text. Now I know you guys and gals are like, "What Mr. C?". What is INTERACTING WITH TEXT?
INTERACTING WITH TEXT is like having a conversation with the author. One way we can interact with text is to make connections. Ms. Bestul and I will be helping you review what you already know about his comprehension strategy. Oh wait, if it's a comprehension strategy where could we find that on our CAFE wall?
Your homework tonight is to read 30 minutes and make a comment on this blog post. You need to post three things...

3. What connections have you thought about today either in school or at home?

In my story wen the girl finds Winn Dixie he is all skinny and matted up .That reminds me of wen we got my dog,he was abused and used to train pit bulls to fight.wen we got him he was very very very very skinny A N D he had a broken eyelid!!!the owner never took him to the vet so his eye was messed-up for about a month. but he is all better now!!!

I am reading The Lost Hero. The most recent book I finished is Ranger's Apprentice book 4 The Battle For Skandia. I had a Text to World connection after school when I had to go shopping and I didn't like it and when Pipier, one of the main characters, goes shopping with the other main characters, Leo and Jason,and she didn't like it because the manager was a psycho lady.

Hi Mr. C. The book I am reding is A Year Down Yonder by Richard Peck. I have finished the 6-10th books from the Thirty Nine Clues and more this year. My connection that I just made in my book is: When the author said, She turned to savor the quiet of the room after everybody had gone. This reminded me of whenever I have a birthday. It is so quiet and unlively after everbody is gone. This makes me wonder of how many people can relate to that.

Hello Mr . C, this is Bryce Waggoner. I Finished Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. I am now reading Diary of a Wimpy kid the Ugly Truth by Jeff Kinny. My favorite connection was... I was reading diary of a wimpy kid and a popular kid that spreads rumors he said that girls can't fart. My connection is I was watching a movie and the mom patted the baby on the back and the baby farted and it was a GIRL. I also liked that Tyler connected his to mine and just so you know that connection was a text to media.

My connection was, That reminds me that I have a four-teen and ten-three months year old sisters. I'm the baby in the family): One book i have finished is Junie B. Jones. It's about Junie B. Jones, and her least best friend May. Now they're class is having a Christmas musical. But they are also having a Seceret Santa day. they get assigned a person without that person knowing. And buy them a present. So the class went to Christmas gift-shop to see what they could buy, but they had to wait a week before they could buy stuff. and Junie B. Jones got assined MAY!!! but Junie really wanted to buy a squeeze-a-burp. a huge burp in a bag! so she had to find out a way to get more money, but she couldn't, so she got May COAL from her grill to teach May a lesson about behaving. At the end she felt really guilty about it so she switched the squeeze-a-burp she got with the coal.

I am reading Fable Haven. The other books I've read are 2 goosebumps books, The Wish Master, Highway Cats and now I'm reading Fable Haven.
One of my connections are, some old people can't walk very fast, just like Leena and Kendra's grandpa. When they were trying to help Seth escape from the fairies they were to late. The fairies turned Seth into an ugly walrus thing!
