Hey Raucous Readers,
Today is Monday, April 11, 2011. Many of you have finished your book club books, beyond the book projects, and have already selected new texts to dive into. You are all rock stars in my book, and I can't wait to see the INQUIRIES you are all going to engage in. STOKED!!!
For today, I wanted to see some of your feedback. As a reading and learning community we normally write blurbs or pieces of our knowledge on NOTECARDS. This weekend I was like WHY C? We have this blog that so many students enjoy using and already know how to do it so well. So, instead of using notecards today let's get our netbooks open and start making some comments shall we!?
As we see some of our Beyond the Book Projects today keep a netbook with you so you can quickly type up feedback, thoughts, reactions, and responses to what you see. Does anyone's project spark a lightbulb in your mind? Does a project you see today remind you of something we have already learned or talked about? Do you see anything that reminds you of YOUR project? What do you see that you like? What is something you wish you would have seen?
Be gentle with each other and the comments you make. Be honest and fair. Have fun listening, reading, viewing, and thinking.

I like how your enthusiasm for your book really stands out. It looked like you loved the work you did. Thank you for sharing your book club with the 3rd graders in our buddy room. You overcame a lot of disagreements as a group, and that is hard to do.

Thanks for sharing I liked how you showed us the actual movie to show us like what was happening! I also liked how you had each person be one of the owls and then have them say something about there owl. I also have a connection to what me and my group Inkheart are doing for our Beyond the book project we are a lso going to show a piece of Inkheart in our project and we are going to share a little info about our characters!!!

Gahoole Group: I really like how a diffrent preson is a diffrent character in the book and u tey to act like them. I like how you found the movie and showed the flashback and a good part (in my opinon) and you showed as the reallty map of where the gahoole tree is and everything!!!! Gahoole group I liked how everybody in your group had a certain character. I also liked that you showed parts of the movie that was made about your book. One more thing I liked about your presentation was that you told everybody about what the characters in your book are like.

It was really cool how you started out with what sounded like a brodcast but then you also gave facts about the book. The book you were looking at looked like a real new's paper it was really cool you also gave jobs that we could do if we wanted to that was cool to. I really liked how you passed out cards we could do just to get us ingaied in your preaantation. Your project was really well done. Great job you guys.

The slide with all the pictures was very cool. It had a lot of information, but you got a little off task on it. The rest of the powerpoint was very good and informational. You guy's did very well on the facts and discribing the characters. Who is your God and/or goddess. You guy's gave away the main parts of the book. So you did not reel me in, because you gave away the whole story!!!!!as not my favorite.
