Day 3: Appreciation & Inclusion...

 Good Morning Everyone,

Today is Tuesday, September 6, 2016.  Last week when we met we covered a lot of things together.  Two ideas we talked about that will keep coming back this year are appreciation and inclusion.  Appreciation is the recognition and enjoyment of the good qualities of someone or something.  Inclusion is the action or state of including or of being included within a group or structure.  These two ideas make up a lot of what we do in Persian house.

Today, as we gather in class, in lunch, in the halls, and in community circle remember to show appreciation and inclusion to one another, especially if you see others from Persian house.  Below, you will see two links that we will be using in class today.  If you think back to last week, you may remember Vsauce with Michael Stevens and TED Talks.  The Vsauce covers things like modesty, the purpose of wearing clothes, and one concept we will discuss further: embarrassment.  The TED Talk connects directly to what we have been sharing as a house: appreciation.  See if you can come up with questions or ideas for us to share in community circle and post here on the blog.  Have fun and enjoy!
